Learn Yoga Meditation – 1 day course

10AM  – 5PM

Join Wellpark College Yoga Diploma students for a day of Yoga Meditation.

Over 1 day you will practice immersion and embody the art and skill of meditation

  • relaxation
  • inner awareness
  • the ability to observe the mind

The course will include a practical component where you will have the opportunity to practice the different Meditation techniques including:

  •  Practices to prepare the body and mind –  asanas
  •  Postures to release tension and develop body steadiness – sthira.
  •  Pranayama (breathing) and guided relaxation to create ease – sukham.

You will explore a range of accessible techniques both dynamic and static

Discuss common barriers to meditation, challenges along the way

Learn how to develop a sustainable self-practice.

About your tutor – Pragyadhara

Yoga Meditation Wellpark College

Sannyasi Pragyadhara is a yoga practitioner who has steeped herself in the rigorous and traditional yogic training of the ancient Gurukul system. Application and expression of this embodied wisdom in various settings include both academic settings and the wider community. Development and implementation of yoga curriculum, mentoring faculty and teacher trainees and delivering specialty workshops and yoga intensives.

10.00 – 10.15 Check in, welcome, orientation to campus & schedule
10.30 – 11.15 Achieving body stillness through asana and pranayama
11.15 – 12.00 Principles and practices – talk and discussion
12.00 – 1.00 The skill of the witness – practice and debrief
1.00 – 2.00 Lunch break
2.00 – 3.30 Dynamic meditation practice
3.30 – 3.45 Break
3.45 – 4.15 Concentration through steady gazing – trataka – practice
4.15 – 5pm Practices recap/ Q&A/Integration & Closing.
